KELLOGGSVILLE – The Fruitport volleyball team took home the OK-Silver title with a clean sweep at the conference tournament on Saturday.

“For the last three weeks, we have been laser-focused, seeking rematches against key opponents we faced earlier in the season,” said Fruitport coach Nicole Bayle. “Last week, it was Mona Shores; this weekend, it was our match-up when we fell short to Calvin Christian. With each game, our girls showed the growth, determination, and dedication that have fueled their season.”

The Trojans topped Godwin Heights (25-12, 25-3), NorthPointe Christian (25-5, 25-17), Calvin Christian (25-22, 25-18) and Comstock Park (25-19, 25-10).

Sadie Haase led the Trojans with 44 kills, seven aces, nine digs and two blocks. Izabel Hanson-Wilbur had 12 kills, seven aces and 21 digs. Ellie Stroup chipped in 14 kills, four aces and 38 digs, while Gracelynn Olson added 13 kills, two aces, 78 assists and 11 digs.

Emma Fecher scored three aces and had 36 digs. Tara Sweet contributed two kills, seven aces and 13 digs.

“This championship is a testament to hours of hard work, resilience, and the drive of every girl on the team,” said Bayle. “We’re aiming to be the best version of ourselves as we head into the playoffs.”

Fruitport (29-11, 10-1) will host a quad match on Tuesday to close out the regular season.
