FRUITPORT – The Fruitport Trojans lost a fourth-quarter lead on Friday night and fell to Holland, 27-23.
The host Trojans led 23-15 before the Dutch stormed back with two fourth-quarter touchdowns to claim the victory. Fruitport (2-6) will host Kelloggsville next week in the season finale.
Bradon Dornbos led the Fruitport offense with 17 carries for 142 yards. He scored on runs of 17 and 61 yards. Liam Campbell added 20 carries for 118 yards and Frankie Kotecki had 114 yards rushing on seven carries. He scored on a 65-yard run.
Riley King accounted for the Trojans’ other points with a 33-yard field goal.
DayDay Williams had two interceptions for the Fruitport defense.
