ALLENDALE – The Grand Haven boys track team claimed second place in Saturday’s Division 1 regional cross country meet.
The meet, at Allendale, finished with Jenison and Grand Haven tied with 44 points. Jenison won the tiebreaker based on the finish of its sixth runner.
Ben Eisnor led Grand Haven with a third-place finish. Luka Hammond came in fifth, Aron Gol was seventh and Carson Berko was eighth to give the Bucs four runners in the top 10. Owen Cross rounded out the Bucs’ roster with a 21st-place finish.
Holland West Ottawa finished fifth at 120, Mona Shores finished 11th with 333 points, Reeths-Puffer was 12th with 344 and Muskegon was 14th with 450.
The state finals are next weekend at Michigan International Speedway.
