GRAND HAVEN – The Grand Haven Buccaneers found the end zone just once on Friday night in a 42-7 loss to East Kentwood.
The Bucs fell behind 14-0 at the half and 35-0 after three quarters.
The only Grand Haven score came in the fourth quarter on a 38-yard touchdown pass from Luke Berry to Will Korenstra.
Berry finished the game completing 8-of-17 passes for 108 yards with one touchdown and one interception. Andrew Willemsen was the Bucs’ leading rusher with 22 carries for 95 yards. Xzavier Rodriguez caught four passes for 49 yards.
Connor VanBeek was the leader on defense with eight tackles, including one sack and one tackle for loss.
Grand Haven visits Rockford next week.
