Mona Shores wins two of three volleyball matches in Tuesday quad

COOPERSVILLE – The Mona Shores volleyball team went 2-1 at a quad match on Tuesday.

The Sailors beat Ludington (25-10, 25-10) and East Grand Rapids (25-14, 25-22), but lost to host Coopersville (16-25, 25-20, 13-15).

Grace Allen led the Sailors with 19 kills and 21 digs. Maddie Russell chipped in 18 kills, while Laynie Russell added 16 kills and 10 blocks. Cece Gappa had 10 kills. Elena Reister made 37 assists and had 13 digs. Izzy Sturtevant threw in eight assists and 30 digs.

Mona Shores (30-7) will wrap up the regular season with a showdown at home against Caledonia. Both teams are tied for first place in the OK-Green.
