Muskegon Catholic volleyball wins one of four matches at Alliance tournament

MUSKEGON – The Muskegon Catholic Central volleyball team finished the Alliance League tournament 1-3 on Saturday.

The Crusaders got a win against Wellspring Prep (25-11, 25-11), but fell to Zion Christian (22-25, 10-25), West Michigan Aviation Academy (16-25, 16-25) and Potter’s House (12-25, 19-25).

The Crusaders’ Molly Caughey had 16 kills and made three blocks. Claire Carlton had 11 kills, eight aces and 23 digs, while Abbigail Cook threw in 12 kills, two aces and 12 digs. Molly Rich scored six aces. Emily Muskovin added five kills, 50 assists and 10 digs. Briseyda Salazar contributed one kill, three aces and 20 digs.

Muskegon Catholic Central (13-21, 4-7) will wrap up the season at home on Tuesday with a tri-match.
