SCOTTVILLE – The North Muskegon volleyball team made a perfect 3-0 sweep in the West Michigan Conference-Rivers tournament on Saturday to tie with Shelby for first place in the conference.
The Norse topped Holton (25-16, 25-8), Hart (25-17, 25-14) and edged out Shelby (26-24, 24-26, 15-11).
Olivia Peterson led the way for the Norse with 15 kills, 10 aces, 47 assists, 15 digs and four blocks. Addie Falkowski had 14 kills, four aces, 24 digs and four blocks, while Isabella Fornaro added 16 kills and 14 blocks. Delaney Young chipped in 11 kills and Emma Buchmiller scored five aces and had 20 digs.
Caroline Lamiman chipped in four aces and 13 digs. Jolie Fellows led the Norse defense with 34 digs.
Hart finished in third place with wins against Hesperia (25-14, 25-14), Ravenna (25-8, 25-22) and Mason County Central (25-22, 20-25, 15-9).
The Pirates’ Reese Smith had 30 kills, one ace and 33 digs. Brynn Russell had 11 kills and four blocks, while Calyn Eisenlohr threw in three kills, two aces, 32 assists and 22 digs. Alayna Schiller had four aces, eight assists and 73 digs.
Kelsey Copenhaver scored four aces on offense and had 42 digs on defense.
North Muskegon will visit Fruitport for a quad match on Tuesday to wrap up the regular season.
Hart travels to Oakridge on Tuesday.
