BELDING – The Oakridge Eagles had a rough night in its road game at Belding on Friday night.

Belding captured a lopsided 30-3 victory. The only points for the Eagles came on a 47-yard field goal by Edwardo Aldrete late in the first quarter to score Oakridge’s lone three points.

The Eagles trailed 8-3 after the first quarter and fell behind 24-3 by halftime.

Oakridge’s offense struggled to score against the 6-1 Black Knights despite getting 11 first downs and 197 yards of total offense.

Bryce Bisson led the Eagles ground attack with 81 total yards that included a 43-yard burst. Bryson Stephenson had 42 yards rushing and made a pair of catches for 40 yards.

Quarterback Zac Cribbins was 2-of-5 passing for 40 yards and had one interception.

Preston Six paced Oakridge’s defense with 14 tackles while Guerero McGrady, Biss, and Evan Jozsa each had eight. Cribbins had six tackles.

Oakridge is now 3-4 overall and hosts Ravenna for its Week 8 matchup.
