GRAND RAPIDS – The Western Michigan Christian volleyball team faced some challenges and fell short in four sets against West Michigan Aviation Academy (20-25, 18-25, 25-20, 19-25) on Wednesday.
“Sickness and multiple injuries made it a tough night for us,” said WMC coach Amber Sandin. “We are praying for fast recoveries before GMAA this weekend.”
Madie Folkema had six kills and scored five aces, while Hannah Heiss added seven kills. Bri Warners threw in six kills and 22 assists.
WMC will compete in the city tournament on Saturday at Reeths-Puffer.
