KENTWOOD – The Grand Haven volleyball team’s Sara Weber became the ninth player in program history to surpass 2,000 career assists in a convincing three-set win over East Kentwood on Tuesday.

Weber and the Bucs cruised to the OK-Red victory, 25-7, 25-12, 25-17.

“We played probably one of our most complete matches of the season tonight,” said Grand Haven coach Aaron Smaka. “Our defensive effort was pretty outstanding.”

Mallory Woiteshek led the offense with 15 kills. Ashley Fumarolo scored six aces and had 11 digs. Nadia Prieditis had seven kills, while Ruby Williams and Ellery Berndt threw in four kills apiece.
