NORTON SHORES – Western Michigan Christian boys soccer cruised past Ravenna in its Division 4 district semifinal opener on Wednesday.

The Warriors rallied past Ravenna with a 4-0 shutout win off the 1-2 senior combo of Tekalegn Vlasma and Cole DeJonge.

Vlasma opened the scoring by finding the back of the net on a through pass from DeJonge midway through the first half.

Vlasma and DeJonge continued to roll the Warriors along with another goal-assist combo for a 2-0 lead.

Completing the hat trick, Vlasma scored his third goal, this time on a cross from Braedon Hoffman.

WMC’s final goal came off a laser shot by DeJonge.

The Warriors’ win advances them to the district final at 6:45 p.m. Friday where they will face North Muskegon, a 4-1 winner over Potter’s House in the other semifinal game.
