MUSKEGON – The Whitehall volleyball team capped off the regular season with a third-place finish in the West Michigan Conference-Lakes tournament on Saturday.
It was also a milestone day for Whitehall coach Ted Edsall as he reached the 1,000-win mark.
The Vikings got two wins against Oakridge (25-16, 25-21) (25-21, 25-18) and lost to Fremont (15-25, 17-25).
Sidney Shepherd led the Vikings’ production with 27 kills, seven aces and 45 assists. Bella Fogus and Brianna Bentz chipped in 25 and 16 kills, respectively. Lou Mulder made 35 assists, while Aaliyah Jamison led the defense with 40 digs. Delaney Kramer made eight blocks.
