PORTLAND – The Whitehall football team took a tough 49-7 loss to Portland to end the regular season on Friday night.
The Vikings were down 21-0 after the first two quarters and got their lone score in the fourth quarter from Hunter Osborne on the ground.
Quarterback Camden Thompson was 13-for-20 with 147 yards. Blake English was targeted six times through the air and went for 74 yards, while Corde Anderson had 55 yards on two catches.
Thompson led the defense with five tackles. Cole Essebaggers and English each recorded three tackles. Osborne made two tackles, including a tackle for loss. Anderson, Jack Ambrose, Connor Nash and Ian Hanson had two tackles apiece. Brock Morningstar snagged an interception.
Whitehall wrapped up the season with a 6-3 record.
