Fruitport is heading to the volleyball district final match after taking down Whitehall in three sets

MUSKEGON – The Fruitport volleyball team put away Whitehall on Thursday night and will be playing for a Division 2 district title on Saturday morning.

The Trojans dispatched the Vikings 25-18, 25-15, 25-13 in the semifinal round at Orchard View.

The Trojans’ Sadie Haase led with 14 kills, five aces and seven digs, while Ellie Stroup added nine kills, one ace and six digs. Gracelynn Olson chipped in eight kills, one ace, 25 assists and 11 digs. Izabel Hanson-Wilbur had six kills, one ace and 13 digs. Emma Fecher scored three aces and had 10 digs.

Fruitport (33-11) will be at Orchard View on Saturday to face Montague in the district finals.
