BROOKLYN – The girls from Spring Lake finished in the top 10 in Saturday’s Division 2 state cross country finals.
The Lakers, led by a 28th-place finish by Alexis Kotkowicz, finished ninth with 303 points. Ludington finished 12th with 378. Leading the Orioles was sophomore Annabelle Lowman, who finished eighth in 18:21.9.
Goodrich captured the team title with 134 points. Zeeland East was second at 150 and Holland Christian came in third with 160.
St. Johns sophomore Ava Schafer won the race wiht a time of 17:20.7.
