MUSKEGON – The Whitehall volleyball team topped Orchard View (25-12, 25-19, 25-17) in the opening round of the Division 2 district tournament on Tuesday.
Sidney Shepherd led the Vikings’ offense with 12 kills and 17 assists, followed by Bella Fogus with 11 kills. Lou Mulder made 13 assists. Aaliyah Jamison tallied 22 digs on defense and Kate Beda chipped in six digs.
Whitehall will return to Orchard View to face Fruitport in the district finals on Thursday.
