Pentwater earns West Michigan ‘D’ victory on its road trip to Marion

 

MARION – The Pentwater girls’ basketball team braved the weather Thursday night and traveled to Marion for a West Michigan D League game and came away with a 32-27 victory.

 

Pentwater started strong, taking a 16-5 lead at the end of the first quarter. But the Eagles outscored the Falcons, 22-16 the remainder of the game.

 

Aubrie Adams topped the Falcons scoring with 13 points, with freshman Emma Werkema-Grondsma and Lauren Davis chipping in six points apiece.

 

Pentwater improved to 3-2 on the year and 3-0 in the WMD. The Falcons are idle until after the holidays, returning to action on Tuesday, Jan. 7 for a matchup against fellow WMD member Bear Lake, which is 4-0 in the league.
