FREMONT – The Fremont girls basketball team took the lead early and never looked back in a dominating 70-17 victory over Oakridge on Tuesday evening.
The Packers led 27-3 after the first quarter and 39-10 at halftime.
The Packers held the Eagles to seven points in the third quarter, and those were the last points they scored.
Taylor DeKuiper had a career-high 21 points to go with her eight rebounds and five steals. Mia Clemence threw in 14 points, nine rebounds, seven steals and five assists, while Riley Chase scored eight points and made seven steals.
The Eagles’ Cambria Guenthardt scored six points.
Fremont (7-1, 4-0) hosts Whitehall on Friday for league action.
Oakridge (2-7, 1-4) will be at Muskegon Catholic Central on Thursday.
