JENISON – The Mona Shores boys basketball team notched their fourth consecutive victory with a 56-42 victory over Jenison in OK-Green play on Tuesday.

Jordan Bledsoe etched his place in the Sailors’ record book as he reached the 1,000-point milestone in his career.

“It’s an honor to hit this mark, but I couldn’t have done it without my teammates and coaches,” said Bledsoe. “Tonight was a team win and that’s what matters most.”

The Sailors used a balanced effort on offense and stifling defense to keep their steak alive.

Landyn Smith led the way with 14 points, eight rebounds and three blocks. Jonathan Pittman posted a double-double of 14 points and 11 rebounds, while Bledsoe and Ryan Opsommer each added 10 points and three assists.

“This was a strong team effort, led by our defense,” said Mona Shores coach Louis Murray. “We’re getting better every day and the results are starting to show.”
