HART – Addi Hovey is now the all-time scoring leader in Hart High School girls basketball history.
The four-year starter eclipsed the mark on Friday night in the Pirates’ 79-9 win over Hesperia. Hovey now has 1,317 career points and sets the new record that was held by 1995 grad Amy Pickard Contreras.
Hovey led the Hart squad with 19 points as the Pirates cruised 27-0 lead at the end of the first quarter.
Hart played an unselfish game, dishing out 22 assists as a team.
Natalie Rosema scored 11 points and had three rebounds for Hart, while Macy Riley had 10 points, six rebounds and four assists. Rilynn Porter chipped in with 10 points and six assists. Hovey also finished with five rebounds and five steals.
The Pirates are now 16-1 on the season and 10-0 in league action.
