MUSKEGON – The Oakridge boys basketball team’s seniors showed out in the last home game of the season on Wednesday evening.

Five of the Eagles’ top scorers were seniors in a 68-40 victory over Potter’s House.

“Several of these guys have played three or four years on varsity and they used that experience to beat a young team,” said Oakridge coach Tracy Ruel. 

The Eagles led 12-7 after the first quarter and exploded with a 23-9 scoring run in the second for a 35-16 lead at halftime.

The Eagles outscored Potter’s House 33-24 in the second half to secure the win.

Senior Peyton Ruel led the way with 15 points and six assists, while senior Bryson Stephenson scored 12 points. Junior Logan Huston added 11 points. Senior Evan Jozsa scored 10 points and grabbed eight rebounds.

Senior Michael Wambaugh chipped in eight points and eight rebounds. Evan Miller scored eight points.

Oakridge (14-7, 7-4) closes out the regular season at Montague for a WMC-Lakes game on Friday, Feb. 21.
