A big bottom half of the first inning powered the Red Devils after the Cardinals got on the board first when Eric Vercshuren drew a first-inning walk and later scored.
Then the Red Devils came to bat in the bottom half and exploded for five runs on just two hits to take over the game.
Holton scored six more runs in the bottom of the second and the Cardinals couldn’t recover.
Eastern starter Alton Shoup gave up 10 runs (four earned) on just two hits, but eight walks over 1 1/3 innings.
