Tiana Stockford got the start on the mound in Game One and worked three innings, giving up four hits, walked five and struck out seven.
Olivia Parsons came on in relief in the fourth and went 2/3 of an inning, allowing one hit, three walks and struck out one. Hailey Lundberg threw the final 1/3 of an inning walking one and striking out one.
At the plate, Annika Heemstra, Maddie Enbody and Kaelyn Cole each collected one hit. Eva Flores scored the only run.
Stockford also started the second game in the circle, worked four innings and gave up four hits, three walks and struck out four.
Ludington went hitless in the game, but Charlie Morse and Flores each scored a run.
“It was a cold night, but it was great to get out and play,” said Ludington coach Sierra Holmes. “Coopersville is a good team and they earned the wins tonight. We did not hit the ball well enough and we had too many defensive miscues.”
The Orioles fell to 0-2 on the season and are scheduled to host Mason County Central on Tuesday.
