HOLLAND – The Western Michigan Christian girls’ soccer team faced another tough Division 2 opponent on Monday evening. The Warriors fought to a 2-2 draw against Holland Christian.
“I’m really happy with the energy we started the game with,” WMC coach Jared McFarland said. “The girls pressured really well and connected passes.”
The Warriors’ Nora Pollock opened the scoring thanks to great pressure from Allie Buchner and Mia Oppenhuizen.
Holland Christian tied it up later in the half, but the Warriors would have an answer as Emersyn Paling found the back of the net off of an assist from Pollock.
In the second half, Holland Christian would again tie it up and neither team could convert on opportunities to take the lead thereafter.
