The Ludington Orioles could muster up just five hits, but benefited from nine Hart errors in a 10-5 baseball victory on Saturday in a tournament in Traverse City.

Evan Kroeze had two hits and two RBI for Ludington.

Tyler Lenon, Dakotah Cutter and Connor Boundy each had two hits for Hart. Boundy had a double.

In later games, Ludington dropped an 8-6 decision to Traverse City West and defeated Traverse City Central 14-3.

Against Traverse City West, Ludington took a 6-5 lead in the seventh but couldn’t stop West’s three runs in the bottom half of the inning.

Chad Large and Hunter Klug had two hits apiece for Ludington. Blake Collins and Peter Lovato each had a single and an RBI.

Ludington’s offense came alive in the nightcap by scoring four runs in the second inning and five more in the fifth.

Large led the Orioles with a triple, a double and three RBI. Klug added a pair of hits and an RBI and Ryan Karns had a hit and two RBI.

Winning pitcher Ryan Bowen struck out three and gave up three earned runs and four walks.
