The Muskegon Community College Jayhawk men’s soccer team had four players honored with post-season awards.
Michael Schmitt was named to the All-Region XII first-team. Schmitt, a sophomore who played prep soccer at Reeths-Puffer High School, played forward for the Jayhawks.
MCC defenseman Fredi Lopez, another R-P grad, was named to the all-region second team. Also earning second-team honors was Drew Maus, a sophomore midfielder. Maus is from Fruitport.
Four Jayhawks were named to the all-MCCAA first team.
Schmitt, Lopez, Maus, Schmitt and goalkeeper Tyler Lane was all named to the honor team. Lane is a sophomore who played his high school soccer at Western Michigan Christian.
