Mona Shores, Ludington and WM Christian trailing after first round of boys golf state finals

In Division 1,  Mona Shores (302) is in fourth place behind front runner Battle Creek Lakeview (296). The Sailors’ Joel Maire is tied in sixth place after a round of 73. Reed Hrynewich (74), Andrew Van Aelst (76) and Mitchell White (79) paced Mona Shores in first -round play.

Ludington (324) is currently in 10th place after its first round finish in Division 2. Hanover Horton leads the tournament with a 297. The Orioles were led by Taylor Myer (80), Logan Leavitt (81), Alex Timinski (81), and Boyd Meeker (82).

After the first round of the Division 4 golf state finals, Western Michigan Christian (353) sits in 11th place behind first place Kalamazoo Hackett (316). The Warriors were led by Alec Breit (79), Henry McGannon (81), Devin Kohn (84) and John Larson (109).

INDIVIDUALS

Whitehall’s Derek Jacobson (74) is in ninth place for individual Division 3 qualifiers and Pentwater’s Sam Wagner shot an 89 in Division 4.
