Six area softball players are heading to Michigan State University on Wednesday for the Michigan High School Softball Coaches Association all-star games.

All four games will be played at Secchia Stadium on the MSU campus.

In Division 1, a pair of standout players from Mona Shores will compete for the White Team – Rachel Swartz, an honorable mention all-state selection, and Kayti Carlson. Swartz is a first baseman and Carlson is a catcher.

The Division 1 game begins at 1:30 p.m.

In Division 2, two area players will play for the Red Team – Fremont all-state pitcher McKenze Supernaw and Spring Lake’s Evie Lorimer, who was the 2012 Miss Softball Position Player. Lorimer plays centerfield.

The Division 2 game is set for 11:30 p.m.

Two North Muskegon players – Taylor Fris, a first-team all-state catcher, and Kristen Bleakley will play for the Red Team. Bleakley was an honorable mention all-state selection as a shortstop.

The Division 4 game is scheduled to start at 3:30 p.m.

The busy day of all-star softball will begin at 9:30 a.m. with the Division 3 contest.
