Michigan Department of Natural Resources

Join park staff at Ludington State Park for a lantern lit snowshoe hike along the river.

The hike is Tuesday, Jan. 1 from 5-8 p.m.

Meet at the warming shelter located at the entrance of the park and talk to representatives of our new Fresh Air Fitness Program who will have information on how to kick off your New Years fitness resolutions.

For example, Lakeside Rehabilitation and Wellness Center of Hart will be discussing their Winter Wellness campaign. This is the perfect opportunity to strap on some snowshoes and enjoy the night air, congregate around our campfire and drink some hot coco, tea or warm cider. Snowshoes will be provided for ages 12 and up.

The DNR asks that participants dress in layers and come prepared for the elements. Please leave your pets at home but feel free to bring a friend or family member.
