Hesperia split its doubleheader with Remus Chippewa Hills with a 15-1 loss in the opener and an 8-5 win in the nightcap.

In the opener, Remus Chippewa Hills rallied with eight runs in the fourth inning and five runs in the fifth.

Katie Annis led Hesperia with a RBI double and Alexis Castillo had a double.

The Panthers responded in the nightcap with four runs in the first inning and added a run in the second inning and three more in the fourth.

Rachel Farber was 3-for-3 with a double and three runs scored. Holly Whelan had three RBI and Paige Lavin had a double and an RBI.

The winning pitcher was Annie, who struck out three and gave up one earned run and no walks.
