Grand Haven soccer team overcomes sluggish start, blanks Hudsonville

After a 0-0 halftime score, Grand Haven scored in the first minute of the second half when Jake Swiftney found the back of the net on an assist from Bryan Villalobos.

Only a minute and a half later, Swiftney scored again to put Grand Haven up 2-0.

Grand Haven scored five minutes later when Ethan King beat the Eagles’ goalie off a Villalobos pass to go up 3-0.

The final goal came when Villalobos was assisted by Swiftney.

Grand Haven is now 4-2 overall and 1-0 in conference play.
