Hope Johnson tallied a hat trick as the North Muskegon girls soccer team continued its hot streak with a 6-0 shutout win over Whitehall in West Michigan Conference action on Monday. 

The undefeated Norse (5-0, 4-0) handed Whitehall (3-4, 3-1) its first loss in conference play.

Johnson and Sophia Mueller each tallied a pair of first-half goals to lead the Norse to a 4-0 halftime lead.

North Muskegon’s Ayla Pitts added a late goal in the second half to round out scoring for the Norse. Grace Berends, Pitts and Mueller each had assists in the win.

North Muskegon outshot Whitehall 17-4 as goalie Bodie Collins posted the shutout with four saves.

MUSKEGON CATHOLIC 2, WESTERN MCIHIGAN CHRISTIAN 0 – The visiting Crusaders scored two second half goals in their win over rival WMC. Emily Olsen put MCC on the board first and Talia Tyler secured the win with a goal of her own. Isabel Bertalone posted the shutout in goal for MCC.

LUDINGTON 0, ORCHARD VIEW 0 – Neither team could find the back of the net in the defensive showdown. Ludington is now 1-4-1 overall and 0-2-1 in conference play.

FREMONT 4, HOWARD CITY TRI-COUNTY 4 – Fremont led 1-0 at half and used a balanced attacked in the tie. Four different players scored for the Packers as Taylor Crowley, Elly O’Neill, Natalie Jamieson, and Bre Harris all netted goals. Holly Kortge and Alex Langley each had assists for Fremont (4-3-1).
