The Reeths-Puffer wrestling team went 4-0 on Saturday in a tournament at Grand Haven, defeating Spring Lake 70-12, Howell 55-12, Battle Creek Lakeview 50-18 and Grand Haven 49-28.
Noah McKinnon (125), Alex Chapman (130), Jimmy Rozycki (140), Thade Rodosa (145), Tyler Nichols (160), Payton Dobben (171), Colby Stephenson (171), Gertie Andrus (189) and Hunter McCall (215) all went undefeated for the Rockets while Jacob Blawat (119), Jack Tevrucht (135) and Caleb McNeil (152) all went 3-1.
Holton has strong showing
The Holton wrestling team took second place on Saturday in a tournament at White Pigeon.
The Red Devils defeated Berrien Springs 51-24, Parchment 42-34, Marcellus 51-24 and Vicksburg 42-36 while falling to White Pigeon 72-12.
Joe Crowell went 5-0 for Holton while Brock Horton went 3-0. David Plekes and Jacob Garber each finished 4-1 while Riley Moore, Cam Edgerton, Rice Robins and Garrett Lulofs each finished the day 3-2.
Fruitport finishes fourth out of 17
The Fruitport wrestling team finished fourth on Saturday with 125 points in the Bosse Wrestling Invite.
Crue Cooper (171) finished first in his weight class while Connor Sykes (119) and Domonic Dault (135) each finished third. Jayme Woodring (215) finished fourth in his weight class.
Fremont finishes second at Kent City Kick-Off Classic
The Fremont wrestling team went 4-1 on Saturday, defeating Godwin Heights 55-21, Reed City 59-18, East Grand Rapids 59-22 and Kent City 49-21. The Packers finished the day with a 54-18 loss to Rockford.
RJ Thomas (103), Gage Montague (135) and Austin Kukal (285) were undefeated while Eli Beasley (112), Cody Routley (119), Matt Long (130), Trey Breuker (152), Chase Knudsen (160) all lost only one match on the day.
