AUSTIN JOHNSON LEADS SPRING LAKE’S BOYS BASKETBALL TEAM TO LAKES 8 WIN OVER GRANT

Austin Johnson’s 27 points helped Spring Lake to a 65-56 win over host Grant in a Lakes 8 Conference game on Friday night.

The Lakers took a 32-28 lead into halftime and pulled away with a 22-16 fourth quarter scoring advantage.

J.P. Batts and Nick Goeglein both added 12 points for the Lakers.

Nick Brown led Grant with 24 points and Riley Foster added 14.
