Oakridge girls gun down North Muskegon in WMC basketball action

Oakridge raced to an early double-digit lead and never looked back in a 59-18 victory over the North Muskegon Norse.

Morgan Giddings led Oakridge in scoring with 18 points. Keyara Wiard added 13 points, seven rebounds and five assists.

Olivia Duncan and Laura Hardy each had four points for NM. Christine Buchanan had seven rebounds.

“North Muskegon had difficulty with Oakridge’s trapping press and intense man-to-man ball pressure in the halfcourt game,” NM coach Doug Clark said. “We got thumped and couldn’t score.”
