The North Muskegon baseball team was clicking on all cylinders Saturday, beating Western Michigan Christian  10-0 and 10-3 in a non-conference doubleheader.

North Muskegon (8-5) dimed the Warriors (6-12) in the opener with the help of a six-run second inning. The Norse added two runs in both the third and fourth innings to earn the mercy-rule victory.

Bailey Cooper pitched the win, allowing just one hit over three innings of work. Conner Gannon didn’t allow any hits in two innings of relief work.

Ben Gautraud and Cooper each had a single and a double while Gannon had two singles for the Norse. Cooper added three RBI while Gannon and Gautraud each scored two runs.

Eric Bourno notched the Warriors’ lone hit when he reached first on a bunt.

The Norse went up by six runs in Game 2, sparked by a bases loaded double by Gautraud in the first inning. WMC scoring twice in the third and once more in the fourth to cut North Muskegon’s lead to 6-3.

Riley Draper had two doubles for North Muskegon while teammate Stephen Pallante finished with a single, double, and two RBI. Travis Webster added two RBI, and Brody Scott and Webster each scored twice.

Jesse Dunn pitched up the win on the mound.

Cam Waller had a single, a double and two RBI for the Warriors, while Matt Vanderploeg added two singles and scored two runs.
