Reeths-Pufer’s Kaitlin Richardson scored with four minutes left in the second overtime to lift R-P to a 2-1 win over Fruitpor in a Division 2 district soccer championship match on Saturday at Coopersville High School.

Reeths-Puffer (14-3-3) faces Mount Pleasant in the regional semifinals at 5 p.m. on Tuesday at Cedar Spring High School. Mount Pleasant defeated Cadillac 1-0 to win its district title.

Micah Peel gave Reeths-Puffer a 1-0 lead in the first half off a cross from Tamara Geweniger.

The Rockets held the lead until the 64th minute, when Fruitport’s Lauren Maus scored off a Jordyn Stanberry corner kick to even the game.

Holden made 14 saves for Fruitport (13-6-2), which won the Lakes 8 Conference this season.
