Hassevoort scores three goals, Fruitport tops Muskegon Catholic 5-1 in girls soccer

Marissa Hassevoort scored a hat trick leading Fruitport to a 5-1 victory over Muskegon Catholic in Lakes 8 girls soccer on Monday night.

Hassevoort opened the scoring early in the game for the Trojans.

Lauren Doriot tied the game 1-1 with MCC’s lone goal. Molly Conroy assisted on the goal.

Emily Winicki gave the Trojans a 2-1 lead before halftime.

Hassevoort scored two second half goals to give the Trojans a 4-1 lead.

Lauren Maus added a goal to close out the scoring.

Fruitport outshot MCC 24-9, as Monica Holden picked up the win in net with seven saves.
