Mariners 11, Tigers 9 – The Tigers let an 8-6 lead slip away, as the Seattle Mariners scored five runs in the eighth inning to defeat Detroit on Tuesday night.
J.D. Martinez, Yoenis Cespedes, and Nick Castellanos each hit a home run for the Tigers.
Detroit starting pitcher Shane Greene pitched a no decision, allowing five runs on six hits in 4 2/3 innings.
Neftali Feliz took the loss for the Tigers, giving up five runs in the eighth inning, four on a grand slam home run by Franklin Gutierrez to give the Mariners the lead.
The Tigers will look to bounce back with a win against the Mariners on Wednesday night.
