Mariners 11, Tigers 9 – The Tigers let an 8-6 lead slip away, as the Seattle Mariners scored five runs in the eighth inning to defeat Detroit on Tuesday night.

LSJ Logo incertJ.D. Martinez, Yoenis Cespedes, and Nick Castellanos each hit a home run for the Tigers.

Detroit starting pitcher Shane Greene pitched a no decision, allowing five runs on six hits in 4 2/3 innings.

Neftali Feliz took the loss for the Tigers, giving up five runs in the Eye on the Deighth inning, four on a grand slam home run by Franklin Gutierrez to give the Mariners the lead.

The Tigers will look to bounce back with a win against the Mariners on Wednesday night.
