The Fruitport volleyball team lost to Grandville 2-1 on Saturday in the finals of the Byron Center Invitational.
The Trojans ended the day with a 4-1 record, defeating Grand Rapids West Catholic, Grand Rapids Covenant Christian and Grant 2-0. They then defeated Grandville 2-1 in the semifinals before losing in the finals.
Delaney Bennett led Fruitport with 33 kills, while Alyssa Veihl had 14 service aces and 132 assists.
Fruitport is now 19-14 on the season.
