The Muskegon Community College womens basketball squad fell short of a comeback victory on Wednesday night, losing 78-70 against Lake Michigan College in Benton Harbor.
The Jayhawks managed to cut their double-digit deficit to four points with one minute left in regulation, but solid free throw shooting sealed the win for LMCC.
MCC was led by Francesca Cerniglia with 19 points and 10 rebounds. Bailey Freeman added 17 points and four assists while Camaryia Williams chipped in 15 points, nine rebounds and five assists.
