The West Michigan Whitecaps enjoyed their home opener on Saturday with 36 degree air temperatures, random piles of snow and a loyal fan base packed in close to the field and in their suites.
It might have been cold and the Whitecaps lost 5-3, but the weather did not stop fans from enjoying the game.
However, the snow and ice has stopped the Whitecaps from playing their game today. Fans with tickets for Sunday’s game can be exchanged for any home game throughout the 2016 season at the Fifth Third Ballpark Box Office, based on availability as stated in the Club’s press release.
Though today’s weather is keeping fans inside, you can still enjoy a video and photo gallery from yesterday’s action. The video shows the first pitch, first hit, first run and a some other firsts from the home opener.
Enjoy and let’s play ball (that means you too Mother Nature)!
