Mona Shores softball earned a non-conference sweep of Holland Thursday, picking up 6-5 and 10-0 wins over Holland.

The Sailors’ junior Taylor Dew hit her 17th homerun of the season in Game 2, pulling her within three of the state record of 20 homeruns.

Dew also set the Mona Shores single-season record for RBIs, finishing the day with 57.

Not to be outdone, Veronica Kastelic drove in 10 runs on the day with four hits and four RBIs in the opener, then three hits and six RBIs in Game 2.
