The West Michigan Whitecaps used another stellar performance from starting pitcher Austin Sodders in a 1-0 home victory over Kane County.

Sodders pitched six innings and struck out nine on Saturday night, picking up the win to improve to 3-0 on the season. His ERA on the season now stands at 0.69 on the season in 26 innings.
Josh Lester had the lone RBI on Saturday when he doubled to right field and Jacob Robson scored on the play.
Bryan Garcia came in and pitched the ninth inning for West Michigan, picking up his sixth save of the season while striking out two.
In total, Blaise Salter led the Whitecap offense with three hits.
The Whitecaps will close out their home stand on Sunday at 1 p.m. when they host Kane County in the series finale.
