The Fruitport football team remained winless on the season after traveling to Newaygo for a CSAA Gold matchup and being outmatched 48-12 Friday night.

Newaygo led 7-0 after one quarter, 27-0 at halftime, and 41-6 after three quarters.

Fremont quarterback Caleb Kooman contributed to all of the scoring for the Packers, passing for 126 yards and one touchdown while also rushing for a touchdown.

Halfback Parker Dalson rushed for 52 yards on 12 attempts for Fremont and wideout Riley Krim had four receptions for 45 yards and one touchdown.

Fremont’s defense was led by Issac Callison with six tackles and Chaz Wheater and Parker Dalson with four tackles each.

Fremont is now 0-6 overall on the season and 0-5 in conference play.

Newaygo improved to 4-2 overall and 3-2 in conference play.
