The Fremont boys soccer team opened league play on Tuesday with a 5-1 win over Kent City.

The Packers were led by Lane Converse, Carter Moon and Wyatt VanBoven with a goal and an assist apiece.

Ed Hallberg and David Wachter each added a goal for Fremont while Grant Vissia chipped in with an assist.

Fremont’s goalkeeper Joe Kortge stopped six shots faced.

The Packers outshot Kent City by a 22-7 margin.

The Eagles lone goal was scored by Jarek Jaramillo.

Fremont improved to 2-2 overall and 1-0 in conference play.
