HUDSONVILLE–With two losing games, one by just two points and the other with no points at all, the Fruitport bowling team was swept by Zeeland East at Hudsonville Lanes on Monday evening.
The boys were competitive and held within two points but fell short losing to the Chix 16-14. The top bowlers on the night for the Trojans were Brandon Krohn who posted a score of 192, Jray Conklin who threw a game of 185 and Gage Wadland who added 183.
Struggling against last season’s Division 1 state runner-up squad, the girls didn’t register a single point despite bowling some solid high scores. Brynna Hanson threw a strong game of 233 while Raegan Dykstra had a 166.
Fruitport is set to host Coopersville on Wednesday at Northway Lanes to determine the boy’s conference championship placing.
