MUSKEGON –The Reeths-Puffer volleyball team split the day in a home tri-match on Wednesday.

The Rockets got past Holton (25-18, 25-16), but lost to Oakridge (20-25, 25-18, 15-17).

“Credit to Oakridge for being a scrappy team on defense,” said Rocket coach Justin Birr. “We made too many service errors and let a few balls hit the floor that shouldn’t have.”

“We looked much more put together against Holton,” Birr said. “We are still trying to find the right lineup to make us the most competitive, so we mixed it up quite a bit tonight.”

Mady Snyder had 16 kills, four digs and an ace while Maddi Dyer made 27 assists, 13 digs, four aces and four kills.

Megan Barnes and Mairyn Peterson added 17 digs and nine kills, respectively.

Reeths-Puffer (2-4-1) will be home on Tuesday for a quad match with Fruitport, Ludington and Ravenna.
