SAUGATUCK – The Mona Shores Sailors earned the team title in the final OK-Green golf jamboree of the season on Tuesday.

The Sailors finished at 178 in the event, which was played at Clearbrook Golf Club. Runner-up Reeths-Puffer was 10 shots back at 188. Zeeland West finished third at 202, followed by Zeeland East at 208 and Holland with a 257.

Mayson Southland led Mona Shores with a third-place finish with a 43. Maddie Etterman was fourth with a 44, followed by Summer Darrow, who was tied for sixth at 45 and Lainee Carmean was ninth with a 46.

Reeths-Puffer was led by senior Paige Anderson with a 41, which was good for individual honors. Rowan Bluhm shot a 45 and tied for sixth. Sophia McCollum came in ninth overall at 46. Senior Abby Haak shot a 56 to round out the Rockets’ team scoring. Olivia Ambler, a freshman, had a 58 and junior Avery Luna had a 61.

“After a great week last week we had a little bump in the road today,” Rocket coach Matt Pallett said. “It was not easy conditions tonight. I am proud of the girls and the way they battled tonight.

“The team has worked hard to put ourselves in position to achieve our team goals,” Pallett said.

Mona Shores and Reeths-Puffer will be playing in the GMAA meet Wednesday, beginning at 9 a.m. at Oak Ridge Golf Course.
