FRUITPORT – The Fruitport Calvary Christian girls basketball team had a game against Grand Rapids West Michigan Aviation Academy slip through their fingers on Monday night.
The Eagles lost, 35-30.
The Eagles led for the first three quarters and went into the final quarter with a 24-22 lead. A last-minute surge from WMAA slowed the Eagles as they were outscored 13-6.
Ella Dykman led the attack with eight points, while Liberty LaBrenz and Cassie Dodd each added six points.
Calvary Christian (1-8, 1-2) will host Hesperia on Friday.
